I love this idea for repurposing distressed, vintage benches. BHG.com has awesome ideas on DIY which is where I found this great look. Simply stack benches and add your own fabulous finds. They did attach them to the wall for safety.
You can also get this look by stacking rectangular coffee and end tables. I can’t wait to try this!

That looks amazing! I may have to wait until my kids are a bit older before I try to create anything similar though, the shelves would be just too inviting for climbing 🙂
